In a labyrinth without walls you are invited into an investigation of bewitched clowns and clowny witches. With headphones you will enter an ASMR soundscape in a 360 live performative space, where voices will crawl into your brain and tickle your neck from within. Exploring ASMR and the queerness of the clown this performative exploration will use and ask animating and satirising questions of prejudice and privilege.

Which Witch is a performative funfare where your dreams and nightmares unite. During the performance audiences can come and go as they please or stay for the full duration of 3 hours. The audience can dress up, fish and paint their own shit, dance in a silent disco or get a vegetable massage. With headphones the audience enter an ASMR soundscape in a 360 live performative space, filled with bewitched clowns and clowny witches. The performance is a queerfeministic manifestation challenging the hierarchy of performer and audience, insisting on creating a playful and shape shifting space for both parts. The audience can interfere as they please and break the hidden structures of a performative event. The performance premiered in The Genderhouse Festival in Århus 2021 and reached a broad variety of audiences from children to elderly people, as the purpose of the show is to meet one and each audience member just as they are and let them live out their inner queerness.

Which Witch builds up the space from cardboard and other recyclable materials at each new venue and is therefore relatively light and flexible for touring.

After an abrupt long break from collective gatherings, this moment of reentering performative spaces is loaded with potential. We are interested in investigating if there has been a change in our experience of our individual borders in social situations and if these can be manipulated or blurred through the use of sound manipulation (ASMR). Especially when this manipulation is connected to conversations around gender and queerness in a social performative context.
